University of Missouri in Saint Louis was very interesting to read about. They have a lot of social groups, clubs, and
organizations. The residental living is nice and very pleasant. UMSL now have their newest residental community called Oak
Hall, which opened up in August 2006. The 4 bedroom suites allow most students to have their own private bedroom. Oak Hall
also includes a heated outdoor pool, Oak Cafe, laundry facilities, game room, and much more! Here are some of the Housing

Incoming Freshman Admission Checklist:
Apply For Admission - This can be done online or on paper.
Submit $35 Non-Refundable Application Fee ($40 for international students). A non-refundable fee of $35 ($40
for International Students) by check or money order made payable to the University of Missouri-St. Louis must be submitted
for all first-time applications. This can be mailed to Office of Admissions, University of Missouri-St.
Louis, One University Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63121.
Have Test Scores Sent. If your test scores are not posted on your high school transcript, you can order them
directly from the ACT or SAT.
Have High School Transcripts Sent. Have your transcript(s) sent directly from your high school. We cannot accept
a transcript directly from the student. It must be sent directly from the originating institution.
Have Additional Transcripts Sent. If you have attended any other institution where you have completed college-level
coursework (advanced credit classes or 1818), you should have transcripts sent to us from that school.
Note: Your admission status cannot be determined until complete credentials are on file.
All credentials received become property of the University. Failure to complete all spaces on the application form or giving
incorrect information concerning previous enrollment in other colleges or universities will void your admission to the University.
Take a Campus Tour - You can call us or sign up online to take a customized, in-person tour of the UM-St. Louis campus, hosted by one
of our student leaders.
Visit with an Admissions Advisor. Call (314) 516-5451 to make an appointment to see an Admissions Counselor.
Receive an Admission Decision. In about 2 weeks, you will receive a letter from Admissions, describing the details
of your admission status, and what actions are required by you to proceed.
Review Fees and Other Costs - Review the cost of attending UM-St. Louis. Also, be sure to check the tuition payment deadlines and schedule.
Apply for Financial Aid - This can be done online or on paper.
Enroll in Classes. All admitted Freshmen must meet with an academic advisor to register for classes the first
semester. You can usually enroll in late October (for Winter/Spring) and in April (for Summer and Fall terms). Register
early so you will get the classes you need!
Pay Your Fees. All fees are due and payable on the first payment due date of the semester in the Cashier's Office. You can also purchase a parking permit there.
Get Your UMSL ID Card. We want your mug on a card. You will need your campus ID card to participate in
most student and athletic events, and to use the computer labs and fitness center. Get your ID card in the Center for
Student Success, 225 MSC.
Purchase Your Books. Books can be purchased in person or online in the University Bookstore, 2nd floor in the MSC.
Attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is usually held a few weeks before the beginning of each new semester.
