Columbia University In The City Of New York
|
Columbia University seems like a very cool school. The problem for me is that it is all the way in New York. I mean not
saying I don't want to go to New York one day, I just don't want to be too far away from home. But the one thing that I can
say is that Columbia University does meets half of my criteria but goes a little over on the Financial Aid area. But I think
that I might be interested in going to New York.
About Columbia: Columbia University started off as a small schoolhouse in Manhattan.
Now, Columbia University has grown into two principal campuses, the historic, neoclassical campus in the Morningside Heights
neighborhood and the modern Medical Center further uptown, in Washington Heights. The mission of the University is to attract
a diverse and international faculty and student body, to support research and teaching global issues, and to create academic
relationships with many countries and regions. The University is one of top academic and research institutions, finding new
discoveries in medicine, science, the arts, and humanities. So far, the University has a very intellectual environment since
it studies everything that helps people in the world today.
